Overview
Environmental products news summary. Registry data analysis. Detailed company research. Outreach to potential new clients. Meetings with counterparties. Worked on developing an interactive P&L dashboard.
Skills
Developed excel skills. Learned how to use Tableau. Improved communication with colleagues/clients. Great insight into the nuances of energy markets.
Responsibilities
Yes. Was able to directly interact with clients & represent the firm to them. Great opportunity to directly learn how the business operates, and what a job there would entail.
Support & Guidance
Introductory day at the beginning of the internship, introduced to the firm & people on the graduate scheme that could help us. Grew close with the desk heads/teams that we worked on. Office layout meant the relevant people were always nearby to help you when needed. A very friendly environment where staff were keen to talk/help you out. HR team were always there to help.
Culture
Great culture. Nice people. Sociable kitchen. Often socialised with colleagues at lunch/after work. Free breakfasts & other perks were a bonus.

Really enjoyed my summer there. Learnt so much whilst surrounded by supportive & interesting people.
Yes
Research energy markets & read around so that starting there isn't too overwhelming. Try to talk to as many people in the offices so you can make the most of your time there & learn about other facets of the business.
