Overview
My role requires me to do thorough competitor analysis. This can include finance offers, equipment and specification they offer, marketing material they use and more. Creating material for dealerships/ the network to use to help promote our Renault cars and sell to potential customers.
Skills
Excel analytics, writing emails, speaking to external clients/ dealerships, developing projects from the ground up, finding solutions to adverse scenarios, conducting presentations.
Responsibilities
A lot of responsibility is given during the placement. Managers will expect you to take the lead on certain task/ areas of the business in which will be used across the company. You will always get guidance and support from anyone at Renault. You have the responsibility to provide work on deadlines and the work to be completed at a high level of quality. Nonetheless, the responsibility you are given really helps you develop and grow the skills you will definitely value for future career prospects.
Support & Guidance
Always I felt their was the necessary support available at any time during the placement. Having regular one to one touchpoints with my manager to go through any material I am struggling on, as well as anybody sat around you! You will find as you work longer at the company different people around the office are more suited to help you in certain situations. This support is always welcome from your fellow interns to senior managers.
Culture
Always happy to help each other and generally interested to create not only a work relationship but also one on a more personal level.
Your Impressions
Currently I am enjoying my placement. I find my team to be very supportive, the work my manager delegates always try's to be as fun and enjoyable to what i'm interested in.
Yes
Try to expand you network at the company and even externally. I have already had the opportunity to go to New car launch events/ test drive centres and dealership visits in London.
