The Role
Very relaxed environment, it was a lot of fun. Even though I had a lot of work to do and a lot of responsibilities, I never felt as a 'student' at Microsoft, but part of the team and actually felt like I was making a difference. Aside from normal working days, we had different fun events that we went to, massive nights out and overall it was great fun.
I have worked in a strong, loyal and welcoming team and have had loads of fun during nights out, different events or just during working hours.
My manager was very supportive, helped me when I eas looking for advice and supported me every ste of the way.
I was quite busy, sometimes it can get mental as we are working in such a huge company but you also have time for yourself and to enjoy your year here.
I had one main responsibilities and plenty of projets that I was assigned to or chose to be a part of in different areas of the business. But my main responsibility was in sales and you can really see the difference in numbers.
You have the freedom of chosing to attend different training sessions and here at Microsoft there is a large variety you can chose from - either online or face to face. Great support and have gained skills that will definitely help me in my future career.
The Company
It was really a lot of fun but also you need to know when the fun stops and need to do some work. It is very flexible in a sense that as long as you can do your job successfully andwork on your personal development, the fun never stops.
As there was a large number of interns, we managed to stay very close and create events and nights to go out. There is a large intern community and a lot of people at Microsoft to support us and help us when necessary.
I have definitely learnt more than I ever expected to and they do that by not trating you like an intern, but as a team member and valuable colleague. Microsoft invested a lot in our trainind and even though throughout the year it didn't seem like I learnt much because there was always something new to learn, at the end I look back and I think it's unbelivable that I managed to learn so much about how the business works in just one year

The Culture
It was great, we organized nights out and events - however, being such a large community, it could be difficult to gather everyone in one place. But i have made great friends this year and have had a reat time
It wasn't as cheap as student nights but seing as I had a stable income, I could afford to go out every now and then for a facny meal or a slightly more expensive club.
It was ok, not a lot of options though so after a few months we decided one our favourite place every time we went out.
A lot of opportunities to get involved in various activities, indoor or outdoor/ sportive or creative. It is also aout your personal development and about having fun!
