Overview
The first three days consisted of presentations given by different departments and areas of the firm. The last two days consisted of shadowing a partner in Global Financial Markets. Over the course of the week there were many opportunities to get involved and ask questions.
Skills
I have learnt a lot about life as a trainee at Clifford chance. The presentations also provided me with in depth knowledge about the practice areas at the firm.
Business Insight
It was useful to see the role through the shadowing as I felt like I was seeing what it would actually be like if I had that position. The firm was incredibly honest and open about how it is run. This strengthened my desire to secure a training contract at the firm.
Culture
Everyone from trainee to partner level was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was apart of the team by the end of the two days shadowing!
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight and would recommend it to anyone considering a career in commercial or corporate law. It’s an amazing opportunity and will provide you with a strong foundation for your legal career.

When writing your application try not to undervalue yourself. Everything from part-time jobs to hobbies is important as they can all give a glimpse of your personality so make sure these things are mentioned in the application.
