Overview
I was placed in the Venture & Growth Banking team, which advises Series B-D companies on raising fundraising rounds >$50m. I was fortunate to work on all stages of the fundraising process across a variety of clients (sector analysis and business modelling / pitching to startup / fundraise mandate terms / VDR preparation and investor sounding / fundraising process / term sheet negotiation)
Skills
My main takeaways from the 10 weeks were financial modelling skills and a deeper understanding of how to identify valuable businesses and business models in both established and nascent sectors
Responsibilities
Yes - from the first day I was trusted to run calls with clients on my own
Support & Guidance
My team were enormously helpful and supportive. I was also given a buddy who I met with regularly and a senior mentor who I had a few meetings with
Culture
High-performance and hard-working environment that also felt very inclusive
Your Impressions
