Overview
A typical day at Lazard involved team meetings, working on client presentations as well as helping out my colleagues with financial modelling on excel.
Skills
I have definitely enhanced my MS Office skills including Excel and Powerpoint. Additionally, I believe that this experience improved my time management as well as communication skills as a whole.
Responsibilities
I believe that I was given quite a lot of responsibility in terms of attending client meetings with the team, working on presentations with autonomy as well as conducting important research required.
Support & Guidance
There was always somebody on the office floor to reach out to in case I had any questions. In particular, the graduate analysts were extremely helpful and guided me whenever I required assistance
Culture
The company culture is quite lively and everyone is extremely friendly and likeable. Coupled with socials organised often for the interns, I had a lovely experience interacting with everyone in the office.
Your Impressions
I thororughly enjoyed my internship as I had a lot to learn, several networking opportunities as well as a real insight into the industry.
Yes
I would advise you to be original, demonstrate your interest in the industry as well as let your personality shine through your interview. Being at Lazard means being part of a diverse group of people with different backgrounds, so my advice would be to demonstrate your interpersonal skills such as communication and team work as much as possible.
