Overview
As an intern, you would be mostly assisting the design process of bridge and civil structures projects across multiple stages. You would be involved in delivering calculations, models and drawings, completed with the assistance of other engineers. The role also involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and technicians regularly.
Skills
The internship helped me vastly improve my communication skills within an engineering environment, as the collaborative nature of the job gave me a lot of experience in multidisciplinary work. Furthermore, the internship helped me improve my technical skills in the field of structural engineering, such as finite element modelling, parametric modelling, and Eurocode calculations.
