Overview
My role Involved performing Demo's to various customers who had purchased A support package offered by MSFT. I was also responsible for analysing data from customers and presenting these insights in Service Review Meetings.
Skills
The Main Skills I developed were, Stake Holder Management, Emotional Intelligence, Presentation Skills and Sales Skills.
Responsibilities
I was given a really large amount of Responsibility, this involved doing sales pitches and demo's to clients or presenting in meetings with CTO's from various FSI companies !!!
Support & Guidance
The amount of Support I received was outstanding. A big part of the Support I got came from my team and my manager. My manager and I met regularly and identified issues before they became a worry.
Culture
The Culture is amazing, you can really be who you want, and the environment is safe and welcoming. Everyone at all levels is welcoming and ready to help if necessary.
Your Impressions
My Internship was amazing, I got so much responsibility on various projects. Additionally I also managed to go on my first work trip which really was lot's of fun. Additionally the amount of support and training I got was incredible and really prepared me for the Tasks I would be facing on a daily basis.
Yes
I would tell to simply be yourself. What is great about MSFT is that no one is the same and that is what makes it a great place. It's the possibility to draw upon colleagues which come from a variety of walks of life. Secondly try to take leadership roles at University as these can help demonstrate self initiative.
