Business Insight
-A truly rewarding experience which only confirms my wish to be considered for a role in the company. The talks really allowed me to: 1. Witness how the firm uses technology to offer not only great legal advice but offer the latter in a unique and innovative way - Partner presentation discussing PropTech. 2. Learn about the global plans and reach of the Tech group. As well as its key advantage: offering holistic advice to clients.
Culture
The graduate recruitment team's presence throughout the day really highlighted a welcoming culture and a strive to offer the most insightful of days to attendees. The atmosphere was great, with an employee telling me she came in support of the team member who organised the day - which highlighted a supportive culture of camaraderie.
Your Impressions
A great experience which I would highly recommend to better understand the role while getting a feel for the firm's supportive culture.
Yes
Attend an open day! It is a great way to get to know the firm's people. Prior to that, thoroughly research the role and if you have some questions prepared - try to speak to trainees prior to attending so that during the open day, you are not asking questions that have answers on the site. Also, this will allow you to truly engage with speakers and employees about what you have just heard/learned. Prepare questions based on the agenda by researching speakers and reading about their career/thought leadership pieces. Reach out to trainees prior to the event to understand the role better and not feel like you need to learn everything on the day.
