Overview
On a day to day basis I help support the Diversity and Inclusion employee Network groups with new ideas, plan events, schedule meetings, plan for awarness days. I often am making internal communications to showcase to the wider company the great diversity and inclusion work that goes on at BMW Group
Skills
I have learnt so much during this role but especially some of the less obvious ways of being in the corporate world and what is accepted about how to present yourself, when to speak and not in meetings how to put together emails and approach tasks .
Responsibilities
Lots of responsibility with creating internal communications that would be sent out to all employees, writing blogs for the internal communications page, starting and running meetings, creating new policies and guidance and offering my opinions on existing guidance.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support from my whole team and really felt like I could raise my concerns and have my voice heard during and after my internship. Made great friends and really felt like i was guided to be my best self.
Culture
I worked fully remotely so did not experience much time in the office but from what I did experience it was a lovely variety of people.
Your Impressions
I loved my internship and it has been the best way for me to understand what I want to do once I graduate and mad me realise exactly what I want to do once I graduate.
Yes
I would say definitely look at the company website page and find specific examples of case studies that you like and tailor your application to the company.
