    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • As the business management desk works across so many different projects, there was no "typical day". However, I spent most of my time working on and completing the projects that were allocated to me at the start of the internship. This allowed me to show my individual strengths whilst also working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • LBG's values and emphasis on a "growth mindset" meant that we got continual training in and and exposure to a variety of skills. We had workshops everyday that helped us discover and refine skills that have helped me both personally and professionally. It is hard to pin point a single skill.

  • 1) Never be too scared to ask a question (trust me) 2) Unrealistic goals create real feelings of disappointment (be honest with yourself and others) 3) perfectionism isn't always the perfect approach (stop getting stuck up on the small details and focus on progress, you can always (and should) come back to the details eventually)
