Business Insight
The presentations delivered were extremely thorough, covering a great insight into the firm
Culture
Extremely friendly people at all levels of the firm. This starts from graduate recruitment who are extremely supportive and do everything they can to ensure you are comfortable and are able to perform your best. Similar with partners, associates and trainees who are really keen to help you and get to know you. There is an extremely flat hierarchy.
Your Impressions
It was a great week. I learnt a lot about the firm and could really see myself fitting into the culture of the firm. I also developed very strong relationships with my supervisor, graduate recruitment and my vacation scheme cohort which was great to have. The only way I wish it would’ve been better is doing a longer placement of two weeks instead of the week in winter and having it in person.
Yes
Sounds cliché, but be yourself and relay your own interests as much as you can - they really liked my interest in particular sectors and wanted to get to know more about my extracurricular. The recruitment process is tough, but enjoyable. For the application, it is crucial to research the firm. Following that, the Watson Glaser test just requires practice. The written exercise is time pressured so business writing skills help. They do want to get the best out of you!
