Overview
We ran through a series of sharing by industry professionals in the various fields, including investment banking, sales and trading, equity research, technological implementation and wealth/asset management. With each session, there was ample opportunity to ask questions to clarify any queries we had.
Skills
I learnt about the breadth of data research in UBS' asset management and equity research department, as well as the key differentiators form other wealth management firms.
Business Insight
I found it intimidating with the depth of information but by the end of the programme I do see how these divisions cohere to provide a synergistic and client-forward experience.
Culture
Everyone was open to sharing about their experiences even outside of UBS. Some were even willing to stay back for an extended period of time to answer any queries we had. I do get the sense that everyone is very supportive of each other's career development.
