Overview
My role within the team is to support my colleagues on various projects. I mainly look after coverage reports, the historic fleet of cars and the MINI Plant Oxford Instagram page.
Skills
I have learnt many new skills within this role, mainly learning how to effectively communicate with colleague and journalists. This has helped me in maintaining a good relationship with media and with my team. I have also earnt effective time management and organisational skills. This is also combined with learning how to properly present both myself and my work, within a business environment.
Responsibilities
Yes, lots of responsibility. As I have gradually worked my way through, the responsibilities have increased. The team rely on me for specific tasks and this allows me to add meaning to my work. It doesn't feel like I'm the apprentice (in a positive way), but there is still a lot of access and support when I need to learn.
Support & Guidance
Lots of guidance and support from my manager. She is key in giving me the confidence to complete my work with as much effort as I put in. It would be unfair for me to comment on the HR support as I have not needed to use it as much due to my manager being so supportive.
Culture
It is good. The environment seems a lot more relaxed then I expected and the office is a good place to both socialise and crack on with work.
Your Impressions
I love it. Not much else to add.
Yes
Just give it your all, you have nothing to lose by trying as hard as you can.
