Overview
The Insight Scheme took place over three days from DLA Piper’s London Office. We heard from many senior and junior lawyers who discussed their careers and the firm’s values. We also took part in an interactive litigation case study and dinner at an external venue.
Skills
I learnt a significant amount about a career in commercial law and the structure of the firm. Key skills which were discussed included empathy and teamwork.
Business Insight
I heard from many senior partners including the managing partner and as such gauged an understanding of the structure of the firm and the roles available.
Culture
DLA Piper had a warm and friendly atmosphere. Everyone was happy to answer any questions and it is clear that the firm champions diversity and inclusion.
Your Impressions
The Insight Programme was really enjoyable, I was able to network with a number of commercial solicitors and fellow peers at the early stages of their careers. I also gained significant knowledge about a career in commercial law.
