Business Insight
It was amazing to get a feel for what opportunities there are within HSBC. I certainly wasn’t aware of many of the teams such as GPS and CIB but they’re now teams that really interest me and I’m glad I got the chance to explore them.
Culture
Everybody I came across was incredibly helpful and willing to explain concepts I was confused around. I was never made to feel like I was wasting anyone’s time even if I asked really basic questions.
Your Impressions
I was hesitant going in as I had a preconception that everyone would be doing a Finance or Economics degree and I would feel unknowledgeable. However this couldn’t have been further from the truth, and I got to speak with so many different people and learn so many new things, and I am so incredibly glad and grateful to have done the insight.
Yes
Don’t stress at all about not fitting in or feeling out of place. Everyone there is passionate about making you included and comfortable, and it is such a great environment.
