Overview
The insight was an online programme running from 10-5pm the first day and 10-3pm the second day. We had talks from different employees from different service lines explaining their job and on the second day we worked on a sustainability project and presented out projects.
Skills
Yes I have developed skills to work on a group project over teams as all previous group projects have been done in person. I have learnt more about tax and assurance as I had not considered these as potential jobs previously.
Business Insight
It was interesting to see how in EY it is easy to switch between fields and they really emphasise exploring different paths to see where you fit. It was nice to know that it is flexible.
Culture
Everyone seem to enjoy working there. There was an emphasis placed on drawing lines between work and personal time and making sure to not overwork yourself which was refreshing. A partner gave us a talk and they highlighted the importance of hobbies in order to thrive in the workplace and maintain happiness and health.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the insight, I was pleased to attend and am now considering EY as a place I would like to work.
Yes
Research the different service lines so you can come with questions about that as it can be quite overwhelming being told about all the different ones with no prior knowledge.
