I have learnt a vast amount of new skills including utilizing new digital software such as outlook, Microsoft teams as well as improving my existing knowledge of how to operate excel. Further to this I have gained an understanding of the operation of a global business as well as improving my confidence when engaging with new stakeholders and people higher up in the company than myself.

I have been given lots of responsibility, more than I expected over the course of my placement. For example, three months into my placement at GSK i was given the independence to run my own project, conduct my own research and engage with key stakeholders across the organization to write the first GSK Menopause Policy as well as the line manager guidance document to go with the policy.
Support & Guidance
Support and guidance was always available to me over the course of my placement. Within GSK an environment is fostered where there is the feeling that you can ask anyone for advice and guidance, regardless of yours or their position within the company. I feel this is a really positive culture and environment to start your career in as it has enabled me to gain information and insight from a broad range of people at differing levels in the company.
