Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement, by chance and also thanks to my team and manager. I was pushed out of my comfort zone and completely owned projects even at the start of my placement (with sufficient support and help from the team). I also had the chance to work on a brand alone due to restructuring within the team, which pushed me to further develop a lot of professional and soft skills at an exponential rate.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support at the beginning of my placement, especially during my onboarding. I was prepped with many training modules on Marketing, on the industry, the Market and my specific brand. I was supported by my team and manager throughout my placement as well, on my development and work-life balance management.
Culture
The general culture is very open, friendly and welcoming. Most people are very supportive and understanding when you are first onboarded and will give you a lot of support. There is also a very streamlined and focused common goal and ambition within the organisation so everyone is very motivated.
Your Impressions
I really enjoy my placement and I believe the biggest factor is because I have been able to learn so much in such a short period of time. I was able to develop my soft skills and gain some real-world commercial experience, working with a variety of people from different career background. I was very lucky to have exposure to different functions within the organisation as well, and to experience, shadow and support in a wide range of activities and projects.
