Overview
There were two virtual days, where most of the content was covered by a third party training company. Once in-person, there were a mix of talks, presentations, networking sessions, desk-shadowing, and activities.
Skills
The experience changed my perceptions of the business areas and which area I would like to go into.
Business Insight
I was initially interested in the O&A side of the business, however upon speaking to different employees and getting an insight into the day-to-day of employees, I'm much more interested in the Fixed Income and Currencies side of the business.
Culture
The employees were actually remarkably open to talking with you, even if you reached out to the individually. This was something that really surprised me. They'll like you if you're friendly.
Your Impressions
The experience was quite exciting. There were a fair amount of boring/unengaging activities, but equally there were many highly valuable moments and opportunities to network with employees
Yes
Be yourself, be a normal human being (so many weirdos around), smile, ask intelligent questions (but don't be that annoying intern - they think that is cringeworthy)
