  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • It was worth getting up at 6.30 every morning for, i don't think it can be described better than that!

    • They were even asking my advice! I felt immediately accepted

    • Very good s upport, always took time to help me and encourage me

    • We could have as many or as few experiments were needed at the time, and as I liked having lots of experiments i was often in the lab

    • Responsibility to do experiments, present results etc

    • Many scientific skills that will aid me in my scientific career as well as communications and presenting skills

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • Team was very tight, went out to pub lunches etc together, celebrated birthdays

    • Ok, apart from the familiarisation day and helping us get to know other students

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Mostly done through a facebook group though, GSK did not help

    • For just outside london, not too bad

    • All nightlife was in London - none in Stevenage - had to travel

    • Maybe, but I don't really go for those things so not applicable
