Overview
The role I have in Adobe is within the professional services sales team. This consists of the overlook and tracking’s of bookings and sellers, revenue, and attainment each quarter for Adobe. Some responsibilities include creating and updating weekly reports which include lots of data around all deals yearly, creating consistent rules for easier communication of deals, reaching out to sellers for information on deals, Creating a project for a system hygiene in order for clearer data which can be easily used by mangers higher up the hierarchy, creating deals on a system where sellers won’t have access to and being an access for sellers when a solution architect and statement of work is needed. And creating bookings , quotes and sales orders. My role consists of a daily use of excel and systems used by Adobe for their bookings. These are called salesforce, Workfront and Clari in which I have mastered the use of it. I also take on a role of tracking sellers weekly on their performances of meeting their yearly profit plans.
Skills
Yes, my most proud skill is mastering excel. At first I only kew the basics of excel but can now say I am very familiar with it. I am able to use it to display data, create pivot tables and create and update reports. I would also say my knowledge on sales have been developed as I now have a bigger insight of how these are processed within a multinational company. My communication skills and confidence has also developed from being in a working environment with constant needs to speak and meet new people. My time management skills have also bettered as I have developed the skill of doing tasks efficiently to meet a deadline.
Responsibilities
I believe I was given responsibility within my placement but only after a few months as I needed this to gather the knowledge and skills needed to cope with my role.
Support & Guidance
I believe I received a good amount of support, especially at the start of my placement. I was always able to message my co workers when I needed help and would have weekly tag ups with my co worker just below my manager to see how I was coping, give me help and provide me with any new tasks.
Culture
Adobes culture and atmosphere was great, they provide a good environment for the interns to be in and displayed many events with social, economical and environmental concern which I found great.
Your Impressions
I really did enjoy my placement, I believe it gave me a good insight to the real world and within sales. However, I would have really enjoyed looking more into the sales with customers as I focus more on the sales operations/admin side.
Yes
I would say to always try you best and speak up if you have any questions as the people at Adobe will definitely help you. I would also say to ask if you do want to have a look in another part of the business to explore that too (as I wish I had done this).
