Overview
During these past two weeks, we attended at least one talk or practice area session every day, this gave us a deeper insight the breadth and depth of the work that Linklaters advises on. We also experienced work in the groups we sat in, this allowed us to gain a real insight into some trainee tasks.
Skills
I developed new skills, like learning different formatting styles, how to comment on deeds of novation and how to proofread articles. I strengthened my research skills, organisation skills, attention to detail and networking ability.
Business Insight
The graduate recruitment team, practice area sessions and my supervisor collectively brilliantly explained their roles and the different available and potential roles available, the depth of the work in these different roles and what it takes to get there.
Culture
The company culture at Linklaters is second to none. People introduced themselves to me, and every time I reached out to speak to lawyers people made time for me. Its a very warm atmosphere , I thoroughly enjoyed the culture here.
Your Impressions
I very much enjoyed my time here at Linklaters, I was provided ample opportunity to get involved with trainee tasks. I enjoyed our client pitch and collaborating with my fellow vacation schemers to deliver it, this gave me a real insight into how the firm pitches for work. Beyond this the socials were really excellent.
