Overview
Attending practice overview talks and interacting with members of the firm. I also had to complete a research task which involved getting feedback from a supervisor and improving my first draft. It also included engaging in case studies and attending socials to better understand the culture of the firm. Finally, it involved a training contract interview, which was competency based.
Skills
Communication, email management, research and legal drafting.
Business Insight
It was insightful and specific, detailing trainee tasks in each practice area and what the areas specifically do. It also I formed on other aspects of the role, including business development and career progression.
Culture
Very friendly and engaging, everyone at all levels of seniority treated me as an equal.
