Overview
Introduced into the world of audit in the best way. You are mentored by others as you learn how to audit. Audit is different everyday as audits are cyclical. You can be planning, in interim (prep for busy season) or in busy season! Each stage leads to different work and client interactions!
Skills
I have grown so much confidence. I have learnt a lot about excel and how to use other audit tools to help make the audit process run smoother. I can confidential lead client calls and can raise challenges to the client with confidence.
Responsibilities
Yes! Not too much but as managers grew to know me they allowed me to gain more responsibility. This allowed me to move at my own pace, I didn’t feel overwhelmed and I had support all the way.
Support & Guidance
So much which was a surprise. The culture I experienced was amazing. Truly supportive, a manager said to me that everyone benefits if I can be independent so they are more than willing to help. The phrase ”there are no stupid questions” should be EY Assurances moto. It’s so true anyone will help answer your questions!
Culture
We support each other its about progress. In my office we were a close knit team. Friends in and out of the office. Partners are easy to talk to there feels like there’s no barriers.
Your Impressions
The best year of my life so far. I didn’t want to return to university! It helped me grow as a person and I’m so thankful I had this opportunity.
