Overview
Very flexible role, day tends to align with the current growth strategies. I tend to look at the website and develop ideas or find any bugs/issues with the website. Constantly improving our customer journey by changing website design. This is all based off analysis I do for specific customers in certain countries.
Skills
Presentation skills. Speaking to different types of groups and learning how to change presentation styles to match the audience. Analytical skills, understanding the how and why behind the financial and performance numbers.
Responsibilities
I was pushed to take on more responsibility but I was also provided with the support to help me push myself. Reporting performance numbers for the website for the UK, Spain and Italy. Interviewing and contacting customers. Taking responsibility for my ideas, I saw through an idea from creation all the way to completion
Support & Guidance
Very supported. My manager and my team have daily catch ups to keep each other involved. Not only does my manager support me but the whole team have helped me develop my skills and understand the business in greater detail. Quarterly check-in's to assess and set targets for myself.
Culture
Company culture was the best part of the placement year. Everyone is very friendly and understanding. Wellbeing is prioritized and placement students are treated like full-time employees.
Your Impressions
Really enjoyed the placement year! I feel very integrated and welcomed into the company. Although this isn't a job title I would normally see myself applying for I was given the flexibility to work in areas I found particularly interesting but was also placed on projects that would help develop my skills and make me more comfortable with areas I initially struggled with.
Yes
Be yourself! Character and personality goes a long way at this company and have confidence in yourself and your ability to learn new things on the go!
