Overview
We spent time listening to different employees about the different divisions at the company and had the opportunity to ask them questions. We had networking opportunities and shadowed analysts to see what their job entailed. We collaborated on a group presentation about a potential M&A deal, which we gave at the end of the week.
Skills
We learnt about the basic skills in investment banking, hearing about DCF analysis and the importance of capital structure. We had the chance to develop our public speaking and networking skills, as well as about how to perform well in IB assessment centres.
Business Insight
It was great to hear about the different divisions in the bank, and how they collaborate on certain deals to offer the best service. It was interesting to learn about how the roles were similar but differentiated.
Culture
Very warm and welcoming. Everyone was willing to help out and give us advice whenever we needed it, and employees seemed to enjoy being at the office.
