The Role
Really enjoyed working with the people at the placement and receieved enough interesting projects to make the placement enjoyable.
I felt they relied and valued me in a support role and also valued the project work I did which helped improve processes.
The manager gave me fantastic support and guidance whenever needed.
The majority of times I was busy with enough work but there were periods where I had little to no work available and had to keep asking for some.
I was given enough responsibility to feel an important member of the team.
I think I have developed different skills which can be used in all roles after university which I wouldnt have learned if I hadn't taken this placement. I also feel many of the skills leaqrnt can be applied to my university degree next year.
The Company
Everyone was very involved in discussions and conversations in a comfortable, relaxed environment.
Everything was set up smoothely and everything went through without and problems or issues.
I was trained in many procedures and learnt a lot of new things about the company.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I could apply for the 3 year graduate scheme with a reccomendation from my manager which would help me a lot to apply for a job with them afterwards.
The Culture
The environment was relaxing with all colleagues getting on well and we had numerous events out for lunch and after work.
As a student in Reading I commuted to Slough from there and maintained the previous student life I'd had previously and so the cost of living and socialising is decent.
As a student in Reading I commuted to Slough from there and maintained the previous student nightlife I'd had previously and the nightlife is brilliant in Reading.
I had enough time after work to carry on playing sports and doping other things that I wanted to do.
