Overview
The insight was a brilliant experience, there were 2 virtual days and 1 was in-person. Panel and speaker events from portfolio managers and early careers providing useful advice about selecting the right career path and giving a background into their work. Ice-breaker sessions to get to know other candidates and introduce ourselves. Advice session on the strengths based interview process for the internship in 2024. Introduction into the different asset classes.
Skills
I have developed my presentation and pitching, networking, fundamental analysis, curiosity and confidence through the interactive activities. I have also built on my existing knowledge of the sector and the careers available to me.
Business Insight
It was definitely very informative, I wasn't aware of half of the roles that we were taught about before the insight program which definitely gave me an opportunity to come back and investigate these further.
Culture
It was really relaxed yet formal. It felt very comfortable and welcoming. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and felt like it was somewhere I would fit in very well. It was really easy to ask questions and talk about concerns.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight program, the best part of it was the in-person day which really helped to develop my understanding of Fidelity.
Yes
Be yourself and be authentic, everyone is really nice and quite easy to talk to. Be confident and don't hesitate to ask questions.
