Overview
The insight was a 3-day programme giving an overview of all aspects of investment banking at Lazard. Day 1 incorporated Financial Edge training. Day 2 included a 2-hour shadowing session with your ‘buddy’ on the banking floor. And, the final day provided the opportunity to present our group project and network with Lazard bankers.
Skills
I have in many respects learnt, and most definitely developed my financial modelling/analysis skills.
Business Insight
It was an in-depth overview of what investment banking actually is, and specifically what that looks like as an Analyst at Lazard.
Culture
As Lazard takes pride in its culture, it really does do what it says on the tin as a firm - that is, create a non-hierarchical, friendly culture where everyone’s ideas matter from the CEO to an Analyst, for example, the CEO, Cyrus Kapadia, did actually come and speak to us during the programme.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the insight, and hope to be considered for a permanent internship role at Lazard.
