Overview
Biostatistician- involves helping teammates on projects, helping manager with duties, learning coding and statistical programming languages, learning about disease areas
Skills
Provided with training courses in R and SAS to improve technical expertise. Opportunity to improve time management skills as various priorities have to be balanced, which also helps organisation skills. Communication skills improved through emails, video calls, in person networking
Responsibilities
A bit harder to obtain responsibility as everything is very confidential or requires a lot of expertise and industry knowledge
Support & Guidance
Assigned a 'buddy' who is a means of support alongside manager. Both provide feedback on what I have done well and what I need to improve
Culture
Very friendly and enjoyable! Everyone is always happy to help and looking out for each other- super collaborative!

Underwhelming- I would have liked more productive and proactive opportunities, e.g., communicating with patients and clients as advertised in job role.
