Overview
Running daily reporting for the department and reporting significant data to senior members. Also helping credit analysis accurately assess business metrics. Further admin that has also been requested will need to get done.
Skills
Developed my soft skills such as excel and communicating within an office environment. Learnt also about the basic metrics of credit analysis and what is considered to look over a business.
Responsibilities
Yes, very much treated as a member of the team and also was given work that felt meaningful and would effect the wider department. The work that had to be completed and finish was often referred to in meetings and displayed to other departments and stakeholders.
Support & Guidance
The handover was very limited however the rest of the team was very accommodating of myself and the questions I had to ask. Colleagues were also more then happy to work through tasks with me.
Culture
Only going in one day (like the rest of the team) a week I felt that I have missed out on that company culture / experience. However it is a relaxed environment and everyone's own personal time is respected and put first.
Your Impressions
My placement I learnt a lot and it definitely helped me access other opportunities and build my CV. So in that sense it was incredibly valuable. I think the company being highly remote inhibits a real culture being felt especially in the intern class.
Yes
Understand/make be clear that you may not feel a company culture due to the remote nature of the job however it is a relaxed environment where one can learn and develop skills if motivated.
