Full Stack Developer Review

My role requires me to do full stack coding in a daily basis. I am required to do front end coding (angular) and also do the Backend API implementation for the components i create in the frontend. My role requires me to test code and fix bugs that happened and are faced by our users.

I have learnt Angular which is a front end language we used, as i have never done it before therefore it was a new experience for me and something completely new that I learnt. I also improved on my listening skills and problem solving skills.

I was given relative amount of responsibility as the time went on as I was excelling in the work i was doing. However after some time I realized that the type of work that I was doing in the team wasn't something I want to do as a career as it started to affect my mental and physical health. Although my team was very supportive and did not put pressure on me I started to struggle at the end.

I received a lot of support throughout my placement whether that was in the starting stages of my placement or at the when I was struggling with the work I was given. My whole team was very helpful throughout and supported me in various ways. They provided me with some learning materials that would help me in the work I was doing. They also provided me with a a lot of direct coding help.

The company culture was very friendly and inclusive. Everyone is very helpful and very communicative and they make you feel very comfortable and help you settle a lot. It is a very good workplace environment as you are allowed to have breaks and have chats with your fellow employees. The atmosphere is very comfortable and warmth and it is very accepting of all the cultures and different ethnicities and all the different work ethics.

I enjoyed my work placement as it help me learn a lot of things that will have direct impact on my future choice in the working world. I have learned a lot educational information which will also help in my final year of university and will also help me in the future. My workplace had some internal social events which made the work more enjoyable and comfortable and inclusive.
