Overview
I support the marketing team working along side product managers and a marketing graduate. Day to day, I make sure marketing materials are compliantly created and approved working with external agencies that help with design. I send lots of internal communications including a monthly newsletter and promotion of our internal Be Well campaign which the students are entirely responsible for.
Skills
Commercial acumen - meeting with customers and liaising with agencies Presentation skills - attended a workshop, applied learnings when presenting to people on varying scales (from my team to people from across Europe) Globally aware - from working in a global company and understanding that the markets are different, demanding different marketing strategies
Responsibilities
The health care industry every role has responsibility. My manager has been supportive towards helping me find projects that are of the right level of responsibility.
Support & Guidance
My mentor was amazing at providing guidance, for example when i was struggling with motivation she invited me on a field visit to help me realise the impact my work can have. The people here are lovely and i feel very much part of the team.
Culture
This company is very much based on line using Teams for chat and calls. When we meet face-to-face to energy is great.
Your Impressions
The placement was not what I was expecting, but i learnt a lot from my experience. My highlights include team building activities in an escape room and leading one myself for my team. Additionally, i had the opportunity to watch a surgery (which can't be guaranteed).
