Overview
My role required me to break down large pieces of data on employee information. I ran the end to end recruitment of the placement students for ViiV healthcare. In addition to these primary task i would also support on ad-hoc hr request and support on some employee relations cases.
Skills
I have fined tuned my excel skills, become a much more organized and efficient worker who is also more confident in my communication. I have also had to opportunity to network and learn under some amazing people.
Responsibilities
I was given large amounts of responsibility in my role. As the projects i was involves in where quite high profile and being shown to the CEO and senior vice presidents of ViiV Healthcare. In addition, with the placement students recruitment i was given full reigns having to engage with all relevant stake holders.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support. I never felt as if i had to do my work alone. Team members were more than happy to advise on some task but also recommend areas for improvement in my work.
Culture
The company is very attached to its culture and keeps it at the heart of everything it does. It is a very friendly atmosphere in the office. With the open pan design you are free to sit with whoever you would like. The senior leadership are very down to earth people who are more than happy to engage in light or serious conversation with all workers.
Your Impressions
I massively enjoyed it through the good times and hard. I learnt a lot and made friends with people I previously thought I was unlikely to. The learning curve was hard but i felt supported through every step and would do it all again if i had to.
Yes
Be yourself and do your research. The company is inclusive of everyone and encourages you to show your real self in the work place so don't ever be ashamed to.
