Overview
As a Brand experience/ Events Intern my role consisted of being responsible for the planning, organisation, and project management of Adobe phenomenal events and conferences. Tasks can vary on a day-to-day Basis depending on the stage of the planning process but here are some examples: -Managing the Event planning timeline, making sure deadlines are kept - Creating and updating the project management tools -Coordinating with the vendors and venue to make sure everyone stays aligned -Organising the meeting scheduling tool for the event and supporting the new users
Skills
The skills I have learnt/developed throughout this internship: - Project Managment skills: working on events and branding projects has enabled me to plan, organise and execute projects effectively ensuring that the project runs smoothly - Marketing and branding skills: Understanding target audiences and creating unique ideas that will interest them and promote the Adobe brand - Communication and interpersonal skills: Being able to communicate effectively with our team and external vendors - Creativity and innovation : Being able to produce fresh ideas and solutions to any issues that arise - Adaptability and Flexibility: Problem solving, decision making and working well under pressure
Responsibilities
Yes, I have been given more responsibility during this internship than I anticipated when I first started. This has been extremely important and has played a significant role in why my internship experience has been so amazing and has helped me develop as a person and in my career.
Support & Guidance
From the beginning of my internship until the end, I have been supported . Every step of the way, I've been guided, but I've also been given a lot of independence to learn and experience things for myself. Because Adobe's environment is so open, I could always go to my manager with questions or for further guidance if needed.
Culture
Adobe's company culture is phenomenal, one of the best I've ever encountered. The company has such a positive company culture and work environment that everyone is welcoming, kind, and willing to help and mentor the interns even if their own workload is difficult at times. Adobe's hybrid work style and flexible work policies create a healthy work environment that keeps everyone happy while they work and the office a place to collaborate. Because the office hosts weekly events, the work environment is always a positive place to be. This brings the employees together and fosters collaboration and company culture, which is important for an intern who is just starting out and wants to network.
Your Impressions
I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my internship; it has exceeded my expectations, and I am sad that it is coming to an end. I hope to return to Adobe in the future, but I can't thank the company enough for providing me with the skills, memories, and networks that I have developed as an intern. I would 100% recommend Adobe.
Yes
When applying, don't be overly anxious about the process; instead, be yourself and showcase not only your previous experience but also your talent, whether it's inside or outside of university. Adobe wants to learn more about you and your value as all of the company's employees are passionate and creative at heart. If you can, show off your ability to use Adobe software and your knowledge of it.
