Teamwork, presentation skills, communication, confidence, creativity, leadership, commercial awareness.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a wide variety of responsibilities. Most notably, I have been given my own film title to manage. This involves ownership of all the deliverables that are needed to release the film including, artwork and trailer creation, planning and delivering a media campaign, taking ownership of the budget, tracking the films merchandising across digital platforms as well as so much more. I have also been given the responsibility of delivering bi-weekly presentations to my wider team.
Support & Guidance
I was given lots of support and guidance throughout my internship. This began with a thorough 3 week training period in which the previous intern taught me all the skills to get me started and the knowledge I needed to complete all the relevant tasks. Since, my manager ensures to check in regularly to provide support and guidance for anything I may need help with.
Culture
The company culture is amazing, providing many opportunities to engage with things outside of my day-to-day job. This includes the young peoples network which provide a variety of events and activities to get engaged in
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed all the aspects of my placement. Having exposure to the film industry has provided me with so much insight into how films are released. The most enjoyable aspect has been managing my own film title as well as attending so many incredible events such as the Universal Town Hall and Moonage Daydream premiers.
Yes
I would recommend being passionate about the industry but most importantly be confident in yourself.
