Overview
i construct finance reports ready to distribute to the wider team, i use different types of software such as SAP and SNAP to be able to process and raise invoices, i communicate with external partners on a quarterly basis regarding music royalties and other ad hoc tasks throughout the week to help support the finance team as well as others
Skills
I've developed my proficiency in excel as well as learnt how to communicate professionally and effectively using outlook. I've been able to set up my own meetings using Microsoft teams and develop my presenting skill using PowerPoint
Responsibilities
I was slowly given more responsibility as the months progressed. At first it was just the basic weekly tasks to start off with then next thing i know i was responsible for creating slides on a new exciting project. I then got to present my findings to the managing director. I was given new tasks by different team members such as the strategy team as well as marketing
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support from my co-workers, my managers as well as the early careers team who helped me in the process of getting my internship. Everyone was very open to help and lovely!
Culture
It honestly felt like a giant family, it was a great and positive environment to work in. we celebrated lots of events together from summer/Christmas parties to even celebrating the 7th birthday of Hayu. Everyone spoke to everyone no matter what team you was working in and if i was curious about another teams day to day work. setting up a meeting and getting involved was not hard at all!
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship i would recommend it to anyone! I'm so sad it has only lasted 1 year i wish it was longer but it has created so many networking opportunities, the start of great friendships and has opened gateways i wouldn't have got if i didn't go ahead with it
