Overview
Upholding cyber security standards by implementing fixes, replacements or upgrades depending on the needs. Using business analytics tools to check effectiveness of said fixes. Providing general support to other business units, crossovers with IT Project Management.
Skills
Enhanced my PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel and other general tools. Soft skills developed are project management, assertiveness in a real world environment, conflict management and resolution, and delegation of tasks between a team, using people's strengths to your advantage.
Responsibilities
I had responsibility from day 1 that had business impact, a project that had support. Through time, I ended up managing a project that picked up traction and had global impact within the business.
Support & Guidance
Lots. My manager was very easily contactable and allowed enough room for personal development, yet provided support when needed.
Culture
Friendly enough within my team, the wider team seemed a little cut-throat but was an environment in which my business personality could thrive.
Your Impressions
I got a lot of our my placement in comparison to what I have previously heard about others. I was allowed to be independent, but support was provided when necessary.
