Overview
My previous role within the BP staffing team included sourcing contractors internally or external subco for UK and European seats and to fill demands which BP had raised. This would include keeping our team data up to date. Since the start of this year I have been helping the FBA team with their tasks which included a Apprentice induction and t-levels course so far.
Skills
I have learnt many new skills including Speaking confidently, thinking more efficiently, and also strengthened other skills such as communicating with language barriers and settling into new teams quickly.
Responsibilities
I was in charge of the UK market for the BP team which was a big responsibility as all data had to be kept confidential and up to date.
Support & Guidance
I have been given a lot of support during my time at IBM from my foundation and task manager considering my circumstances at the time.
Culture
The company has a good culture as in office there is no sense of a hierarchy and everyone treats each other equally.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement and feel I have learnt skills I will use for the rest of my life. It has given me a good insight to working a 9-5 as well as how businesses operate.
