  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Perfect balance of time as well as intellectual challenges, while working on core skills as well as my own project.

  • Alot.Considered same as them.

  • To the extenet that they helped guide me through my work and role throughout the year and possibly how I should learn from my experience and also expand on it.

  • busy enough with one thing or another. Everyday I learnt atleast one new thing (either about my Science, or about the techonologies I was working on, or about the company in general)

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The amount of responsibility increased through the course of the year to the point that I am now skilled to operate exactly as a graduate joining the company.

  • There were alot of new experiments and technical skill I managed to learn in the year.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone enjoyed working and had 'fun' as long the work was done appropriately and met it's deadlines.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Quite organised, however due to the nature of of my project (research & developemnt) we would have a change in specific aims and objectives a couple of times.

  • We had access to all facilities and information (seminars/database), same as any permanent employee.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Possibly alot due to some successful work that I have been able to generate during the placement. However, I will have to come back through normal route after graduation to apply for further employment.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We have a whole cross-sites organisation set-up to increase interaction amongst all students at the company.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cheaper compared to london and could, live, eat, socialise & still be able to save sufficient amounts by end of year!

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not great (only a couple of clubs/bars in the town), but could go to London for that as it was only 20mins away on train.

  • Volunteering schemes, training through courses.
