Overview
Morning meeting to discuss what we are doing in the day. Lots of reconciliation of accounts Cross charging amounts between sites in the UK Posting journals in ledgers
Skills
Developed lots of skills mainly team work, also had to present quite a bit so I've improved on that. I have also had to train people on tasks so I've improved my skills on that
Responsibilities
I feel like my role is fairly important, if I miss deadlines, some of the work my managers do is severely impacted.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support throughout the placement - the previous placement student was there to train me for 2 months and then I was assigned a Buddy within my team to ensure I was ok. My manager was very good and contacted me months in advance of starting my placement to assure me the role is good.
Culture
Very good company culture of a very hard working team that will help each other when needed. Also great inclusivity and diversity within Cummins
