Working on wastewater projects incorporating new build and refurbishment of apparatus. Clean water projects will include Impounding and Service Reservoirs, Slab designs, road extensions, Pumping Stations, Bore hole etc. Assist the project team with project completions and handover. Be involved in assisting designers develop new and refurbishment works for Water & Wastewater Treatment plants Involvement in the installation and commissioning of projects from design to handover, the full lifecycle of a project. Work within the team of mechanical, EICA and process engineers to develop best practice, a strong health & safety environment and value for money. Creating specifications to handover to subcontractors.

During my placement as a civil engineer, I had the opportunity to acquire valuable new skills and enhance existing ones. Firstly, I honed my proficiency in structural analysis software, enabling me to efficiently model and analyze complex structures. I also had the opportunity of developing my Autocad Robot skills, whilst designing a reinforced concrete slab with piles. Additionally, I expanded my knowledge of sustainable design principles, incorporating eco-friendly practices into my projects. I also developed stronger communication and teamwork abilities through regular collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors. Overall, my placement allowed me to broaden my skill set, empowering me to approach future engineering challenges with increased competence and expertise.
