Overview
I keep all of the emissions testing data up to date in all internal trackers. Aid with procurement of vehicles to use for our testing programmes. Create training packs for the next placement and other employees working in the compliance department. Run meetings to provide updates to the rest of the team on what we have achieved this month.
Skills
My Microsoft skills have improved massively over the placement. Using Word, PowerPoint and Excel on a daily basis has helped improve this. Improved my professionalism in the work place, I feel more comfortable speaking in front of groups both on Zoom and in person. More confident in my ability to hold a professional conversation. Improved time keeping and scheduling is a huge benefit.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a lot of responsibility. Been project lead on projects that are going to cost the business a large chunk of money and are important to all sectors of the business surrounding me. Running important meetings, speaking to external clients are all really important aspects of the business and a large responsibility.
Support & Guidance
I've received unlimited support throughout my placement. There is always someone you can go to, be it my manager, HR and so on. Made to feel very comfortable through the whole process.
Culture
The company culture encourages teamwork and inclusion massively. A lot is done to push collaboration between teams and individuals. This is what I noticed the most is the constant push for teamwork and working with employees you don't normally get the chance to do so.
Your Impressions
I've very much enjoyed my placement. Not just the work life and team members I have had a chance to work with but the opportunities to do charity work outside of the workplace. Also the chance to play sports and do extra-curricular activities with fellow employees.
Yes
Just be yourself, If you are willing to put your all into the job and put yourself out there to meet new people you will have a great time.
