Overview
creating designs and assets for the use of disney's licensees and researching trends to inform these designs
Skills
yes, i've learnt how a graphic design team can work in a corporate environment and i have learnt a lot of software skills
Responsibilities
yes, as i grew to learn more about the business i was given more tasks and independent projects where i was solely responsible
Support & Guidance
a few very useful training sessions from an exterior provider, as well as useful training about the business from my team and tips and tricks from my team. overall a good amount
Culture
on a large scale all the company wide meetings and emails etc were a bit pretentious and full of business speak but on a smaller scale, that being my team and surrounding teams everyone was nice, relaxed and helpful, a nice place to work
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a fair amount, i learnt a great deal and liked my team a lot. The social side was more challenging with few chances to meet other interns, so I really had to put myself out there, but I found a few close friends. (i am in the minority here as i am the only intern in my team, most have 2 or 3 interns and work closely to other teams with interns)
Yes
go to the few intern events that will be organised early on, cause when everyone knows a few people these social events where you meet others will completely stop
