Overview
Enhancing images for our affiliates for their on demand platforms. Sharing assets and usage terms with the wider National Geographic team. Creating bespoke delivery newsletters to share with all of our EMEA regions our new assets. Manage the Make List of our print designer and keep a log of all footage information & ETAs.
Skills
Hugely developed my communication skills through working with a large amount of people from all different levels within the business. Some of this only being virtually so I have learnt how to build strong, professional relationships over email and video call meetings only. As well as working in person with many people across the National Geographic team, making sure everyone has the assets and correct information they need.
Responsibilities
Yes, due to a structural change within our team I assumed additional responsibilities including sourcing footage for key campaigns and creating the make list, monthly, for our print designer. I also share the usage terms of assets with the team to make sure they are used correctly. Also, I provide images to our affiliates, along with handling a communication stream within this.
Support & Guidance
A lot. The team were always so welcoming and up to help in anyway they could. We undertook training with the previous interns at the beginning of the placement and then worked very closely with our line managers to ensure we knew what we were doing and felt confident in doing so.
Culture
Great! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, were always there if help was needed and amazing team environment.
Your Impressions
To great extent. I thoroughly enjoyed working with my team and developing both my technical and personal skills throughout the year.
Yes
