    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My job during my placement year will be to support the Ecosystem's Director and the senior leadership team in the Partner Ecosystem. I will also be working alongside the Resell and GSI teams. In my role, my responsibilities will be to ensure that the ODS and SaaS report will be completed every morning and I will be helping the teams with IBM Sales Cloud. I am also the Sales Cloud expert, and people ask me to do reports and dashboards for them

  • Yes, I have developed and honed several skills over time. Notably, I have dedicated significant effort to mastering my IBM sales cloud skills, allowing me to effectively utilize the platform for sales-related tasks. Additionally, I have invested time and practice into enhancing my presentation skills, enabling me to deliver compelling and engaging presentations. Furthermore, I have focused on improving my sales skills, learning various strategies and techniques to better understand and address customer needs. Lastly, I have worked on developing my networking skills, cultivating professional relationships and expanding my professional connections. Through these efforts, I have aimed to continually improve and adapt in order to excel in my role

    Responsibilities

  • Yes, during my placement/internship, I was given a significant amount of responsibility. My supervisors and team members trusted me with important tasks and projects, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to the organization. I was given ownership of various projects and had the opportunity to take the lead in executing them. This responsibility helped me develop valuable skills, such as project management, problem-solving, and decision-making. Overall, my placement/internship provided me with ample opportunities to showcase my abilities and grow both personally and professionally

  • During my placement/internship, I received substantial support and guidance from my supervisors and colleagues. From the beginning, I was assigned a mentor who provided me with valuable insights and advice regarding the organization, the industry, and my specific role. They were readily available to answer any questions I had and provided ongoing guidance throughout the duration of my internship. Furthermore, the entire team was extremely supportive and inclusive. They encouraged open communication and fostered a collaborative environment where I felt comfortable seeking help or clarification whenever needed. Whether it was technical assistance, feedback on my work, or guidance on navigating organizational processes, I could rely on my colleagues to offer their expertise and support. Regular check-ins and performance evaluations allowed me to receive constructive feedback on my progress and identify areas for improvement. This guidance helped me align my efforts with the organization's expectations and improve my overall performance.

  • During my placement/internship, the company culture and general atmosphere were highly positive and conducive to personal and professional growth. The organization prioritized an inclusive and collaborative work environment. The company culture emphasized teamwork, encouraging employees to work together and leverage each other's strengths. There was a strong sense of camaraderie among colleagues, and everyone was willing to support and assist one another. This collaborative atmosphere fostered a sense of unity and motivated us to achieve common objectives. Open communication was valued within the company. Employees were encouraged to express their ideas, opinions, and concerns freely. Regular team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and feedback channels provided opportunities for open dialogue and constructive discussions.

I appreciated the responsibilities entrusted to me, as they allowed me to make a real impact and contribute to the organization's goals. The sense of accomplishment I felt upon completing successful projects was incredibly satisfying.
