Overview
There are many different aspects of the role teaching you and building up your abilities to become a manager in the future! For example, customer service, hitting targets, sales, have the opportunity to run the branch and ensuring vehicles are ready to be rented. You also get the opportunity to build your personal brand and work closely with colleagues from other branches, meeting many new people learning from each other.
Skills
I have learnt to develop my organisation skills, time management, communication, confidence and multitasking. My placement has helped me build upon all of these areas and more, it is a great place to learn about the corporate world and has many opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
I was given plenty of opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility as I developed during my time there, I helped train new members of staff and given monthly management roles which helped grow my knowledge and gave me the responsibility to track them. After my knowledge grew I also had the opportunity to run the branch for the day and take on the role of 'Assistant Manager'.
Support & Guidance
There is continued support from managers with constant training throughout the year to support your growth and knowledge of the business. Managers from all areas of the business are very accessible if you need any specific help. If there are any issues that occur then the HR manager is always there to help, only a phone call away.
Culture
Everyone is very friendly and eager to progress and work, if you do have any troubles then your team is there to help! There are regular events to attend and network with other branches. It is a very inclusive environment with different groups to be apart of like a female focus group and a BAME group!
Your Impressions
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement with many opportunities to network and meet other people, I have also had the chance to complete some charity work to help the local community in which I was supported by the branches in the area. Always having a laugh with the team but having the ability to progress and grow was a great balance when going into a placement!
Yes
Go into the job open minded and always put yourself out there! Personal brand is always an important aspect for most businesses and Enterprise gives you the opportunity to grow your brand so always make the most of it.
