Overview
Key responsibilities on 13 month industrial placement: - Forecast management: Weekly assembly/ manipulation of forecast financial model for MD, COO & SLT. - Portfolio analyses: Including 'whitespace' reporting, up-sell target identification and deal size trends. - SAP Analytics Cloud: Leveraging business intelligence tools to produce reports for EMEA North. - Strategy assistance: For example, aiding senior stakeholders with quarterly 'routes to budget'. - Go to market planning and data management: Account assignments and client hierarchy management. - Excel manipulation: Use of master files to generate reports quickly using formulas and pivots. - Deal Hygiene Monitoring: Ensuring deals are correctly: maintained, forecasted and progressing. - D&B Hoovers: Used for effective market research.
Skills
- Developed a high level excel and business intelligence tool competency. - Confidence drastically increase along with communication skills. - My ability to cope under pressure has increased a lot. - Business knowledge of the software industry is detailed. - General knowledge of how businesses operate is comprehensive.
Responsibilities
Yes I was given a lot of responsibility. There are many tasks and projects that I manage independently. These are, a lot of the time, for senior stakeholders.

I received a lot of support and guidance. My team were very supportive. I had a buddy the whole time and the culture facilitates asking for help.

The company culture is very welcoming and hard working. It is suited to someone who wants to further their career alongside like minded people.
Your Impressions
I have definitely enjoyed the internship. There will always be the occasional task that is less enjoyable/ more monotonous, no matter the role. On balance, the role was incredibly development and enjoyable.

I would advise that you research the company and role. When doing an interview, comprehensive awareness of these things is one of the most important aspects. Also have questions ready to ask and be interested.
