  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Providing excellent levels of customer service to customers, answering the phone to any queries, ringing customers to confirm reservations, liaising with insurance companies, body shops and dealerships and contacting accounts to make sure they are happy with the current level of service and we are meeting their needs.

  • My customer service, communication, listening and networking skills have improved a lot throughout the year. I have also learnt how to stay organized when having multiple things on my plate. I have also improved my time keeping skills due to having multiple reservations at the same time on numerous occasions.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given lots of responsibility during my placement, I managed a smaller branch on numerous occasions singlehanded due to my manager being off. I also had responsibility other my own specific accounts and had the responsibility to organize any reservations they needed. I also would have captaincy roles which would change each month which meant I was in charge of a specific part of the branch for that month.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I received lots of support and guidance from numerous people during my internship including my own individual mentor who I had meetings with every 3 months and also from my branch manager who I had a meeting with at least every month and more than once if I deemed this to be necessary. I also had a female mentor due to me being part of the female focus group in my area.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement with Enterprise and I am very grateful to them for the opportunities this year has given me and will give me in the future. My placement had taught me many different skills which will all be invaluable in any future work place. I believe the different things I have learnt about how a business works in the past year will be extremely useful when completing University work next year.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
  • I would say to make sure you focus on your customer service background and how you have went above and beyond for customers in the past and dealt with customers who may have been unhappy with the service they were offered. I would also say to focus and look into the different promotion opportunities within the company and highlight any roles you think you could excel into.
